Stewardship

Stewardship

At St. Gerald Church we recognize the call to stewardship which includes sharing of our time, talent, and treasure. In so doing, we have the opportunity to share the gifts that we have been given by our Lord. As Catholic Christians, we too follow Christ’s call to share with our community. As such, we have many volunteer opportunities here at the parish. Annually, we have a call to make a yearly commitment to give of our time and talent through our Ministries Commitment program. Sharing of our treasure provides direct support for the parish and our fellow Catholics in the Archdiocese of Detroit through our participation in the annual Catholic Services Appeal and our weekly contributions.

This approach to stewardship, that is sharing of our time, talent, and treasure is the first step towards making our Catholic Social Teaching a foundational approach to life. The Catholic Church has a long history of teaching us about the relationships that we have with society.
